The Foundation provided the City of San Bruno with a strategic grant totaling $200,000 to help finance the design and construction of a new park at 324 Florida Avenue. This investment focused on bringing recreation and green space to a historically underserved neighborhood near downtown San Bruno, one that previously lacked its own neighborhood park, thus fulfilling the Foundation's equity and inclusion goals.

The City of San Bruno marked the start of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony on November 15, 2024. After nine months of construction, the City celebrated the opening of Florida Avenue Park with a well-attended grand opening gathering and ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 14, 2025.

The new park includes a playground for children, exercise stations for adults, picnic table seating, and a large lawn.
